Valerie Segrest is a Muckleshoot tribal member, nutritionist, author, forager and specializes in native foods of the Pacific Northwest. She serves her community through coordinating efforts to improve access to traditional and local healthy foods. She is the co-author of “Feeding 7 Generations: A Coast Salish Cookbook” and “Indigenous Home Cooking: Menus Inspired by the Ancestors”. Her passion for nature, food and education inspires her to enlighten others about the importance of sustainability and taking care of the land.
