Reprisal

Rhys Wakefield will next be seen starring in Hulu’s Reprisal, a series from The Handmaid’s Tale executive producer Warren Littlefield, also starring Abigail Spencer, Rodrigo Santora and Mena Messoud. He was most recently seen in Season 3 of HBO’s acclaimed series True Detective opposite Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff. His other credits include starring alongside Ethan Hawke in Universal’s #1 film THE PURGE, ECHOES OF WAR with James Badge Dale, CARDBOARD BOXER with Thomas Haden Church and Terrence Howard, Shana Feste’s Universal film ENDLESS LOVE, Amber Tamblyn’s PAINT IT BLACK, which premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival, starring opposite Janet McTeer and Alia Shawkat and a lead role in Robert Logevall’s film THE GRAND SON. His first film THE BLACK BALLOON opposite Toni Collette earned him a nomination for Best Actor in a Feature Film by the Australian Film Institute and the Film Critics Circle of Australia. Wakefield recently made his directorial debut with BERSERK, a full-length feature he also wrote and starred in alongside Nora Arnezeder, Nick Cannon and James Roday. Executive produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (MIDNIGHT SPECIAL, UPGRADE), the film was released theatrically April 5, 2019.
